Employee Help Guide

Everything you need to know about using the Lutz Timesheets app.

1First Time Login

Your admin will provide you with your email address (usually your company email).

To set your password for the first time:

  1. Go to the login page
  2. Click "Forgot password?"
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Check your email for a password reset link
  5. Create your new password

Make sure to use a strong password you'll remember!

2Entering Your Timesheet

Your dashboard shows a weekly view of your timesheets. Tap any day to enter your hours.

For a regular work day, enter:

  • Start Time – When you began work
  • End Time – When you finished work
  • Lunch Break – How long you took for lunch (if over 5 hours worked)

Overtime is calculated automatically based on California labor laws (over 8 hours/day, over 40 hours/week).

Types of days you can enter:

  • Work – A regular work day with start/end times
  • Vacation – Paid time off (uses your vacation balance)
  • Sick – Sick day (uses your sick time balance)
  • Holiday – Company holidays (automatically marked on the calendar)
  • Unpaid – Day off without pay

Important: Fill out every day of the week, including days off. Select the appropriate day type so your timesheet is complete.

3Confirming Your Week

At the end of each work week, you need to confirm your timesheet.

  1. Make sure all your days are filled in (even days off – just enter no hours)
  2. Review your weekly totals at the bottom of the week view
  3. Tap the "Confirm Week" button

Once confirmed, you cannot edit that week. Contact your admin if you need to make changes.

4Tool Allowance

If you're a technician, you may have an annual tool allowance for purchasing work tools.

To submit a tool purchase:

  1. Tap the tool allowance bar on your dashboard (or go to the Tools page)
  2. Tap "Add Tool Purchase"
  3. Enter the amount and description
  4. Upload a photo of your receipt
  5. Submit for reimbursement

You can track your remaining allowance and purchase history on the Tools page.

5Week vs Month View

Use the toggle at the top of your dashboard to switch between:

  • Week View – See the current week with daily details and totals
  • Month View – See the full month calendar at a glance

A green dot on a day means you've submitted hours for that day.
